Re: Tell us what you think of the new muslimyouth.net
I do wonder what our dear old administrators might have thought we'd have to say in this thread! I hold very little hope of actually hearing anything from their camp on this little disaster. I'd be satisfied with a word or two, or a discreet PM or email; I imagine that there are those of you reading this asking why I feel I deserve these, and I'll admit there's no real answer. I mean, they didn't force me to pour my life into this void in cyberspace, nor did they ask me to devote many an hour to reading and sympathising with the posters here, or to come to speak to many people from here, and in getting to know them receive many a treasured message. No, they merely touted this as an oasis, a haven, a safe port in this storm that we call the life of a young muslim. Shame on me for heeding their calls, what madness compelled me to listen to such a dastardly siren song?

Still no word? Oh how I feel like the oft ridiculed scorned, and resultantly clingy lover! I wonder if MY.net has any bunnies that need to be boiled?

Salaam
i am an old member of the site and upon reading some of the replies on your opinion on the new Muslimyouth.net i am taking this time ti express my opnion on this matter. like the majority of the members here i too have had alot of personal posts on the old site that have just been deleted, so many memorable and personal poems that i will never see again which goes to show that i have put alot of effort in taking part in that site so i too have my own emotions that i am holding back. But the fact that the management have decided to change the site shows that they are trying to move muslimyouth.net in a new direction where it can provide a good service for all of us and credit needs to be given to the team for atleast taking the initiative and try something new to help move muslimyouth.net atleast a step in the positive direction. I admit this new site is not easy to use at all and i hate the design but its only a prototype, it can be improved and this is where we as a whole team should come in and assist the people that run the site, i know that this is a change that not many of us might like but its a step in the right direction to create a change in which we all can be part of, this is our site and i am very priviliged to say that i can input a very positive change in it. instead of complaigning and taking the mick out of the management team, how about we give them some feedback on what we want to see in the site, what new functions etc that would improve the site because atleast that way atleast the site would do what its here to do, to serve you so i think we should all stop just complaigning like a bunch of spoilt brats and be mature abou this and help them in the area's where you think this site can be improved.....remember its your site so instead of criticising it, help to improve it and you'll see soon enough you'll get the type of muslimyouth site that you've always wanted to chill out in

Having been browsing the site a little more, I've come across something unforgivable.
'UR Profile', really?! Ergh, I cringe at the idea of being associated with such nonsense. That is all.

OMGGGG!!!! there seems to be a LOTTTTTT of negative feedback on a really well made and well thought out site! I understand that your hard work has been wiped out but its not the end of the word like your all thinking and instead of wining and complaing about how upset u are about posts being deleated y dont you take this opportunity to creare new memories and posts!! take it as a clean slate!!!! and mamories are not only in a computer they are in your head, so its not the end of the world!!!!!!!!! personally i can see that a great amount of hard work has been put into the creation of this site and change is a brill thing!! it allows inovation and growth so i think you all should deal with it and look at the good aspects of the site!! it looks brill and can now reach a greater target audiance!!!! negativity never helped anyone and if you have no constructive critisim stop whining!!
